For the first time in four years, the Ogden girls track team is sending an athlete to Drake Stadium for the Iowa state track and field meet! Charlie Klauenberg is that athlete as she finished first in the shot put with a throw of 37 feet and 11.5 inches, winning by 3.5 inches. Because of the bad weather, the Ogden high school boys track team was able to only compete in one giant meet at Gilbert High School last Monday.  There, the Ogden team competed with 16 other schools. Ogden struggled to keep up with limited participants able to make the trip because of the senior trip. That caused them to end up in 14th place...

The Ogden girls track team had a tremendous week, getting their first team championship in the season despite not having any seniors at their disposal.  Because of a senior trip, the Ogden Bulldogs were without their coach and their senior girls. Bulldog golf teams had an up and down ride, with the girls flying high and the boys facing some tough challenges.  They started the week with a trip to Woodward-Granger Monday, April 17 where the girls placed first in the triangular of Ogden, Des Moines Christian, and Woodward-Granger. The girls ended up with a score of 187, 39 strokes ahead...

The boys track team had a pretty good week but the cold weather for the second meet made things tougher.  It started off at the Southeast Valley meet on Tuesday night.
