‘Dogs unleash Lentz, defense in blowout, win 49-21

The Ogden football team picked up its second-straight win of the season with a 49-21 win over Des Moines Christian in Ogden on Friday night.
“What a great way to start off the season with two wins in front of that great Ogden home crowd,” Coach Jacob Burger said. “These wins have given the team the confidence needed heading into our last non-district football game.”
The ‘Dogs claimed the win behind a huge rushing effort by juniors Austin Lentz and Spencer Nelson.
Lentz powered his way to 260 yards on 26 carries, including four scores.
Nelson chipped in 61 yards on five tries including 40 yard run to pay dirt.
Senior Luke West added 39 yards on three tries, and collected 46 yards on six pass receptions, including a touchdown reception.
