Accura open house features program, BBQ and tours

The hospital has just referred you to a nursing home for some longer term therapy. What do you do?

Ron Semler, Accura of Ogden Executive Director will explain their Rehab to the Home Program and answer any questions you may have, during their Spring Open House Thursday, May 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 625 E Oak Street. “We will focus on providing you with information,” says Semler. “We want to take the mystery out of nursing home admissions.” And unlike some nursing homes, he explains, Accura of Ogden is dual certified, meaning they accept both Medicare and Medicaid patients.

At the open house, staff will be giving tours of their 46-bed facility with its newest renovations. You are invited to enjoy a barbecue cookout, courtesy of Accura of Ogden. Be sure and sign up for the door prize - a basket of grill items.

“At the nursing home, we offer a home-town environment. Accura of Ogden, Our Home, Make it Yours,” says Semler. “We offer therapy services and long-term and short term care, and Hospice services in our building. We can assist people with transition and cost and Medicare issues as well as assistance with financial aid such as Medicaid.”

Their facility has 24 hour nursing staff and activities each day for both the young and elderly.
