Another successful Christmas celebration held in Ogden

As Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Back in August of 2016, Kevin Langel and Susan Kallem, both members of the Ogden Legacy Marketing and Promotions Committee, started to brain storm ideas for the upcoming Christmas celebration. After throwing around many different themes, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” was born.

Then the question was raised, who or what can we raise the money for this year?

Kallem, who is also an EMT on the Ogden First Responders, mentioned that the town was in need of a new ambulance at some point due to reoccurring mechanical problems on the current vehicle. The First Responders had begun talking about fundraisers, thus the idea was thrown out of the proceeds raised during the event would be donated to the First Responders.

From there they went to the rest of the Marketing and Promotions group and started to share the ideas they had brainstormed. It was decided to bring back the lighted parade and soup supper, with the soup and crackers being provided by the members of the first responders and desserts provided by the local churches.
