Another successful senior trip for OHS students and parents

Students and chaperones alike comment about their recent trip out east.

The Washington National Cathedral was by far my favorite place that we visited. The architecture and detail of the building itself was truly beautiful. Everything about the cathedral put me in awe. The reason I loved it the most was because I was able to take a moment and light a candle for my dad, who I lost this past December. Being able to do that, especially in such a beautiful building, made my senior trip much more memorable.

When we visited the 911 Memorial - that had the biggest impact on me. Hearing the tour guide talk about that day sent chills through my body. Listening to the running water, while looking at the name, created a feeling of peace, knowing that all of those people were honored in such a beautiful way.

Arlington had a really big impact on the way I think about war. All the brave people who gave their all so you and I can have what we have today. It made me think twice about how brave you have to be to put yourself in danger to protect people’s freedom.

I’m glad I got to experience this trip with my class. I learned a lot from the tours we went on. My favorite part of the trip was going into the White House.

My favorite part of the trip was when we went to Chinatown. We were allowed to barter with the vendors and I had a lot of fun doing it.

- Spencer Nelson

My favorite part of the trip was getting to go inside of the White  House in Washington D.C. Not many people can say they have done that. But overall, the trip was a success, then again missing school for a week is always a success.

- Drew Eich

My favorite part of the trip was spnding time with my classmates and getting to be in the White House.

- Bryce Snedden

My favorite part of the trip was going to Arlington. Being able to see all the men and women who gave their lives for our country was breathtaking.
