Balanced offense, opportunistic defense powers gridders past Van Meter

The Bulldogs wrapped up their non-district slate with a convincing 47-14 road win over Van Meter last week.  The teams took the field Friday night, but with 10:51 left to go in the second quarter a power outage occurred, forcing a postponement. By that point, the Bulldogs had already built a 21-point lead. Ogden maintained its momentum as the Bulldog team finished out the game Saturday morning.

“Another quality win for us this past Friday,” Coach Jacob Burger said. “As a coach I think we still have lots of room to grow, but once again we show flashes of being pretty good. As games get more difficult it will be more and more important that we start putting entire games together.”

The offense was powered by a balanced attack as the squad rolled up 226 yards through the air and 173 yards on the ground.
