Boone County Hospital happenings: Higgins receives Brown Award

Jill Higgins, of Boone County Hospital (BCH) Home Care Services, was honored by Boone County Hospital as the 2018 Brown Award Winner at a Recognition Ceremony in the BCH Atrium on January 21.

Weldon J. Brown established the Brown Award in honor of his parents, Eunice D. and Everett C. Brown, long-time residents of Boone. Each year, hospital employees nominate co-workers for the award that demonstrates outs tanding service and exceptional accomplishments.

The BCH Laughs and Recognition Committee then selects one employee from all of the nominations that were submitted to be recognized. Higgins is a Licensed Social Worker and helps manage the Home Care Aides and Meals on Wheels Program; in addition, she helps at the Free Clinic and assists with float in the Pufferbilly Days Parade.
