Boys defeat Humboldt, lose a heartbreaker to Earlham

The boys basketball team started off the week on Monday going up against 3A Humboldt. The Bulldogs, coming off a win on Friday, came out playing well and finished the first quarter up six. The game from then on was a back and forth affair. The Bulldogs eventually pulled away and won the game with a score of 54-45. 

Ben Heeren had himself a monster game. Ben scored 21 points and  had 14 rebounds to go with it. He shot an efficient eight of twelve from the field. Ogden had strong contributions also from Kayden Kruse, who had 11 points, and Noah Snedden with eight points. Snedden also chipped in five rebounds and four assists. 

The Bulldogs played a great defensive game. Ogden held the Wildcats to only 32% shooting from the field and a very low 15% from behind the three-point line. The Bulldogs were much more successful from the field, as they shot 44%  from the field.
