On Thursday a successful track season ended for all Ogden High School athletes except for three - Andrew Stumbo, Andrew Haberer, and Blake Gregory.

Those three athletes get to continue their season this Thursday in Des Moines at the Iowa state track and field meet. To get there, they had to place high enough at the district meet in Panorama. In that meet, the Ogden boys placed 9th overall out of the 12 teams. Ogden had 44 points. Madrid led the way with 142.

Ogden’s Stumbo had a really good meet, getting 20 of the 44 points just on his own. He did that with two first place medals. One was in the 1600 meter run where he beat his fierce competitor Sean McDermott. If you recall last track meet at conferences, McDermott beat Stumbo by .68 seconds.
