Bridge project is delayed

Construction on the overpass bridge near Grand Junction on Hwy. 30 has been delayed. Department of Transportation Construction Engineer Jenny Hoskins says this overpass, along with the West Beaver Creek bridge project, were both slated to start this week, but due to other projects with the contractor, have been pushed back at least two weeks.

Once the project begins, westbound traffic will be detoured north on Hwy. 169 five miles, west on E26 to Dana, then back south on Hwy. 144 to Grand Junction. 222nd Street east of Grand Junction will be closed for the duration of the overpass project.
