Bulldogs close regular season with two losses

The Ogden boys’ basketball team closed the regular season with losses to Madrid here last Tuesday and then to Southeast Valley at Gowrie Friday.

The Bulldogs dropped a 74-63 decision to Madrid to wrap-up West Central Conference play tied for seventh at 6-10, and the 61-52 setback to SEV left Ogden 8-13 overall.

BIG NIGHT FOR DIGGS

Senior Griffin Diggs booked an impressive line score for the Ogden boys against Madrid, scoring 20 points to go with 11 rebounds, five steals and four assists – all team-highs.

Kaleb Badker and Sam Christensen were a strong supporting cast with 16 and 15 points, respectively. The Bulldogs made 10 three-point goals with four each for Diggs and Badker.

The visiting Tigers built a 31-25 halftime lead behind a 17-9 second quarter, were up 46-37 through three and then outscored the Bulldogs in the fourth, 28-26.
