Bulldogs get a warm-up to the season

Ogden boys were to have opened their season last Tuesday, but cold, snow and ice forced the meet to be postponed until Thursday.

Ogden was one of four boys teams participating in the Carroll Early Bird meet March 22 at Boone. Others included Carroll, Kuemper Catholic and Harlan.

Bulldog Coach Ryan Kobliska said he is happy to see that the hard work his guys are putting in, is leading to progress. “A lot of guys already beat their best performance from last year, and we were able to win three relays tonight - the 4x800, 4x400 and 1600 medley.”

Garrett Buxton took a close second in the 1600 and ran a leg on the winning 4x800. Blake Gregory anchored both the 4x400 and 1600 medley teams.

Ogden competed again Monday, March 26 at Jefferson (after presstime).
