Bulldogs split, big nights for Diggs

The Ogden boys’ basketball team split back-to-back games, winning at Perry, 56-51 in non-conference play Monday and losing to Woodward Academy, 79-74 here Tuesday during West Central Conference action.

FOURTH WIN

Ogden captured a fourth win this season with a hard-fought five-point victory over Perry.

The Bulldogs built a 29-23 halftime lead, had the cushion trimmed to one-point, 40-39 after three and outscored the hosts, 16-12 in the fourth.

“I felt our defense won the game for us as we played good on that end. We struggled from the free throw line down the stretch, in which we could have really pulled away,” said Ogden head coach Scott Church.

Ogden ended 13-of-28 at the charity stripe and Perry 8-of-19.
