Bulldogs sweep Panthers, close out season with win over Madrid

Two conference wins this past week to end the regular season placed Ogden at seventh in the nine-team conference with a conference record of 2-6.

Ogden took on St. Edmond Tuesday (after presstime) at Fort Dodge for the first round of regional play.

The Bulldogs swept Panorama 3-0 on Senior Night Tuesday, Oct. 14, winning 25-14, 25-16 and 25-22.

“It was a great night for the seniors and a great win for the Bulldogs,” said Coach Shannon Zinnel.” Senior Kate Christensen had a career high 10 kills for the night. Abbey Gustafson went 15 for 15 from the serving line with 2 aces and 16 digs. Jackie Lawler had 5 kills and no attack errors to go along with 19 assists. Kylie Westberg was 12 for 16 attacking. Ogden’s libero, Jenna Sheirbon had 21 digs, one assist and was 10-11 from the serving line.
