Carter takes sixth at state golf meet

Ogden golfers, led by Coach Randy Johnson, competed at the Class 2A state golf meet Tuesday and Wednesday, May 30 and 31 at Jester Park Golf Course in Granger.

Hannah Carter carded scores of 86 each of the two days and finished at 172 strokes, sixth out of 57 individuals at state.

The Bulldogs tallied 770 for sixth place as a team. Treynor was state champion with a score of 698.

Ogden’s Kayla Walker was 29th overall after carding 196. Kylie Nichols finished with 201 strokes for 38th place. Faith Mohr had a score of 220 and Hallie Weber, 225.

Maranda Wheelock was disqualified therefore no score was posted.
