District track meet is Thursday at Roland-Story

Parents and a handful of fans huddled in the stands and along the fence line, clad in rain gear and toting umbrellas as they cheered on the Bulldogs Monday, May 5 at the Ogden Coed Track Meet.

Ogden hosted Greene County, Roland-Story, Colo-NESCO and Woodward-Granger.

Conditions were much improved when the local teams competed against conference foes the following night.

The regular season culminates this Thursday at Roland-Story at 4 p.m. for District/Regional competition that will determine state track qualifiers.

WCAC Meet

A pair of Bulldogs have been battling it out the entire season and the WCAC conference meet last Tuesday, May 5 at Earlham was no exception.

The friendly competition between sophomore Andrew Stumbo and senior Trey Thompson has carried over from cross country to track.

Thompson may have edged Stumbo in the 3200 meter run last Tuesday at Earlham to claim a conference championship, but Stumbo responded by pulling ahead of his teammate to nab second in the 1600 meter run. In just those two races alone, the Bulldogs collected 32 team points.
