Donkeys and basketball

Despite the blowing snow and ice covered roads we experienced Friday night, many Bulldog fans braved the storm to watch some of Ogden’s finest participate in Donkey Basketball. 

The tournament consisted of four teams: Ogden High School Seniors, Ogden Faculty, Ogden Alumni and Hometown Heroes. The night began with Game 1: OHS Seniors vs. Ogden Faculty. After a competitive 16 minutes, the students overcame the staff which sent them to the championship round. 

Free donkey rides were offered to the children in attendance between game one and game two. The donkeys appeared to be much more tame during their half-time gig. 

That all changed when Game 2, the Ogden Alumni vs. Hometown Heroes matchup, began. Another close game resulted in the alumni coming up short and sending the heroes to the championship with the seniors. 

The donkeys were clearly running out of steam by the time the final round began, and so were the riders. But the Ogden High School Seniors didn’t let that stop them from taking
