Each stitch serving as a thank you

With Veteran’s Day at hand, we are reminded of the service and sacrifices made for our freedom, and the debt of gratitude we owe to our own community members who answered the call to honorably serve our country.

The 16 members of the Ogden “Quilts of Valor” Piecemakers are preparing quilts to be presented to our local veterans during Ogden Fun Days 2018.  Our desire and continuing goal is to honor and comfort all of our War-Time Veterans with a Quilt of Valor.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation began with a vision and one quilt made by one veteran’s mother in 2003. The QOVF continues to grow in membership and has awarded over 170,000 quilts across the United States to military service members and veterans serving during a time of war or conflict.

Thirteen quilts were awarded and registered with the Foundation this past summer in Ogden.
