Fall sports kicked off with Friday night scrimmages

Fall sports are upon us as Ogden hosted their “Fall Sports Kickoff” on Friday. Starting with a two-mile run followed by both volleyball and football scrimmages against Panorama, it’s safe to say everyone was happy to be back after a long summer.

Both varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams were able to scrimmage in the gym, showing off impressive teamwork for the start of the season. There were no scores kept, and both teams exemplified sportsmanship and coachability throughout the evening.

According to Head Coach Samantha Sperling, spectators should be on the lookout for an incredibly strong team, both mentally and emotionally over the coming season. With five returning seniors and a promising incoming lower class team as well, the future is bright for Ogden volleyball and Sperling is excited to see them progress over the current season and coming years.
