A few ideas to help combat cabin fever

Although February is a short month, I think most of us can agree that when the weather is as unforgiving as it has been, with a record setting month of snowfall, and frigidly cold temperatures to go with, it sure can seem to drag on and on. But fear not as spring will come! After all, Phil the groundhog can’t be wrong all the time.

In the meantime though, here are some ideas to help shake some of the cabin fever that many are inevitably feeling as we wait for warmer days.

Read a new book. Reading is a chance to “escape” to another world. It can also help keep your mind active to pass time quickly. The local library has plenty of selections to choose from, and they even offer downloadable books for those who prefer electronic copies.

Start a new hobby. Whether is be crafting, knitting, painting, scrapbooking, or any other activity you might enjoy, give something new a try while you’re stuck indoors. YouTube has a lot to offer in the tutorial department if you aren’t sure how to get started.
