"Game On!" OHS students prep for Homecoming week

Ogden High School is celebrating Homecoming Friday, Sept. 28. Festivities begin Friday, Sept. 21  and culminate in the Friday night football game against Pocahontas Area with a dance following. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Game On!”

 

Friday, Sept. 21

Assembly to announce Homecoming Court takes place at 3:10 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22 and 23

Hall decorating. Deadline is 5 p.m. Sunday. Powder Puff game, 5 p.m. Sunday.

Monday, Sept. 24: Dress Day - ’Merica Monday (students dress in America-themed clothing. Dance guest passes must be requested by this date. (Everyone who is not a current OHS student must obtain a guest pass).

Downtown business decorating competition. (Winners are announced at the pep rally).

 

Tuesday, Sept. 25:

Dress Day- Meme/ Vine Day: students dress up as their favorite internet meme or video. Volleyball at Woodward-Granger, 6 p.m.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 26

Dress Day- “er” Day (Students dress up as their favorite word, job, or occupation that ends in – er such as farm-er, golf-er, danc-er)

 

Thursday, Sept. 27

Dress Day- Dress like your teacher day: student will pick a teacher and dress like them for a day. (Teachers dress as students).

Grades 9-12 vote for King and Queen (Social Studies/English classes)

iMovies due to Mr. Ruble by 3:30 (Should be previewed by class sponsors)

JV/V Cross Country Meet vs. WCV 4:30 p.m.

Volleyball at Southeast Valley 5:30 p.m.

 

Friday, Sept. 28: Dress Day-Spirit Day

 

Parade 1:00 p.m. - line up by 12:50. 

Pep Assembly (Following parade at approx 1:45). 

Top Dogs Ceremony (Following Pep Assembly). 

Coronation (Following Top Dogs Ceremony).

Top Dogs Dessert Social 3:30-4:30 pm. (OHS Library)

Homecoming BBQ, 4:30-6:45 p.m.

Football Game, 7 p.m.

Dance, 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. (Doors close at 10 p.m.)
