Girls go 0-2 against tough competition

The Lady Bulldogs went up against Des Moines Christian at home on Tuesday night, Jan. 16. The Lady Bulldogs held their own for the first half, only down by eight at the break. The second half was much tougher for Ogden, eventually losing the game with a score of 61 to 34. 

Leading the way for the Bulldogs, Abby Langel scored 15 points, all of which came from behind the three-point line. Denali Loecker came off the bench and provided a spark for the Lady Bulldogs  scoring eight points and added five rebounds. Ashton Boggess scored six points and grabbed two rebounds. Boggess had a pair of assists and two steals. Allea Klauenberg chipped in four points and six rebounds.

Ogden traveled to Earlham to face the Cardinals and the game started off well for the local team. Ogden was only down by three points after one quarter. The second quarter was the problem for the Lady Bulldogs. Earlham outscored Ogden 25 to 10. The Bulldogs played well the rest of the way, but they couldn’t dig out of the hole losing the game 65 to 40.

Ogden’s leading scorer was Allea Klauenberg, as she scored ten points. Ashton Boggess chipped in eight points of her own. Meredith Adreon added in seven points and Abby Langel chipped five points in. Denali Loecker came off the bench and added in four points.
