A great team effort results in championship at Urbandale

The Ogden girls track team had a tremendous week, getting their first team championship in the season despite not having any seniors at their disposal.

Because of a senior trip, the Ogden Bulldogs were without their coach and their senior girls. They only had 17 girls to fill their 52 line-up spots, but they still were able to win a meet in Urbandale. It was hosted by Des Moines Christian for their first ever home meet.

Ogden ended up with 179 points, 16 points higher than second place Bondurant-Farrar. Ogden placed first out of 6 teams with that high of a score. In those 19 events, Ogden had 4 champions, but they were remarkably competitive in all the other events as well.

Ogden placed in the top 3 in every single relay as well. For the most part, Ogden was also able to have two girls able to get points for the team which helped them secure the first place.

There was a remarkable amount of amazing performances from many different athletes from Ogden.
