Honoring kayaker Gary Kingham

Gary Kingham of Ogden passed away Jan. 22 from a kayak accident. His friends and family are planning a granite bench in his memory. The bench will be placed on a site overlooking Don Williams Lake where Kingham kayaked daily to help him stay in shape for competitions. 

“Gary won almost every race he entered and was a national champion in 2016,” says his wife Jan.

A Go Fund Me website has been set up for those wishing to make a donation - Gary Kingham Memorial Bench. Contributions can also be sent to his wife Jan at 1437 K Avenue, Ogden, IA 50212.

A fun float is being planned at Don Williams Lake. A date and time has yet to be established.
