It was Christmas time in Ogden

First came the snow, then the rain, which although altered Ogden’s town-wide Christmas celebration last Saturday night, did not put a damper on the festivities.

Ogden high school vocalists led Christmas carolling underneath the water tower during lighting of the Christmas tree.

Following the lighted parade,  everyone was invited to warm up with a soup supper at Water’s Edge Church. There were games and face painting, and of course visits with Santa.

Winners in the chili cook-off were: First place: Joel Dutcher; second place: Jill Ahrens; third place, Paul Morgan. Carroll Paulson’s recipe won the People’s Choice Award.

For safety reasons, the horse drawn wagon rides were cancelled.
