Jennifer Stumbo takes over duties as City Administrator

Jennifer Stumbo said she is very excited in her new position as City Administrator/Clerk.

“Having worked here for three and a half years, I have a feel of what the City Council’s goals are,” says the former city clerk. As of April 12, when her appointment was approved, Stumbo began taking over duties of the previous administrator Donovan Olson.

“Donovan set a good example for me. Some things will remain the same while others are different,” she says.

Her new position involves administration, operational and financial functions of the city. She will oversee personnel, finances and public relations.

Stumbo says the street department is working on some huge projects, and now, being on the financial side, she can take information she has gathered and be of assistance.

She is also working with Police Chief Mick Bailey in developing an efficient way of handling community issues - a consistent way for citizens to address issues.

Christy Thede was recently hired as Assistant City Clerk and began her new job Monday, May 23.
