A joy that comes from giving

“We just wanted to help out, too,” said Allison Frazier of Allie’s Hair Care, after seeing a toy collection box while in the Dollar General Store. Ogden Police, in collaboration with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, were collecting toys in hopes of making this Christmas a little more special for some local families. Contributions not only came from customers at the two Ogden businesses, but from employees as well. “We even put it out on our Facebook page, knowing that would help spread the word.” The boxes were in place for about a month. Officers began delivering packages Thursday, Dec. 20. According to Ogden Police Chief Mick Bailey 10 families and 30 children received gifts.
