Kennedy qualifies for state swim meet

Ogden senior Lauren Kennedy, a member of the Boone swim team, qualified for the state meet as a member of three relay teams during a regional meet here Saturday.

Kennedy is a member of the Toreadors’ state qualifying 200- yard medley relay, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

The 200-yard freestyle relay was clocked in 1:42.05, the 200- yard medley relay in 1:53.93, and the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:50.42.

The state meet will be held Friday and Saturday at Marshalltown. Friday (Nov. 8) the Prelim Meet will begin at 5 p.m. and Saturday the Swimming Finals will start at 12 noon.
