Lady Dogs split a Pair: Defeat ACGC, fall to WC Valley

The girls’ basketball team continued their shooting slump this week, leading to 2 losses and 1 win.

Ogden seemingly couldn’t hit a shot against West Central Valley Stuart on Monday, falling 53-29. Ogden shot 12/44 for 27.2%. West Central Valley on the other hand shot 43.8% from the field. That shooting accuracy was what put West Central Valley up by so much.

The field goal shooting wasn’t the only thing Ogden struggled at. Ogden was only 5/13 from the free throw line. Giving up that many free points is really going to hurt your chances when you are shooting poorly from the field. Ogden did play pretty good defense though. They forced 10 steals which is the most they have had a long while. The only problem is that West Central Valley forced 9 of their own. Therefore, Ogden didn’t have as much of an advantage there as they would have liked.
