Larry and Sandy Seeman inducted into Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame

Larry and Sandy Seeman of Woodward were inducted into the 2017 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the 4-H Exhibits Building at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 20. Ninety-four Iowa counties participated this year and selected 121 inductees for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H. Inductees or their surviving family members were presented a certificate by the Iowa 4-H Foundation President, Doug Den Adel, and State 4-H Program Leader, John-Paul Chaisson-Cárdenas, as they were introduced on stage.

Larry and Sandy Seeman are the perfect 4-H volunteers.  They are the first to volunteer to help, the first to offer donations if money needs to be raised and the first to call and offer assistance if tragedy strikes.  Their willingness to help has positively impacted the Boone County 4-H program in multiple ways.

Larry and Sandy were both 4-H’ers growing up, Sandy in Wisconsin and Larry in Iowa. Larry Seeman grew up in Boone County and was an 8 year member of the Peoples Happy Helpers 4-H Club.
