Let’s all gather and honor our veterans this Memorial Day

The Iowa: Then and Now class is hosting a Memorial Day service honoring veterans interred in the cemetery as well as present veterans in our community. During this short service, there will be a flag raising ceremony, the recognition of the Civil War veterans, singing of God Bless America, and a short prayer by Pastor Hoyt from the Ogden Community Methodist Church. There will also be refreshments available. It will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery Monday, May 30 starting at 10 a.m. 

This service is to recognize the veterans in more ways than the flags in the cemetery. The goal is to bring out the community to honor these veterans together and revive the true meaning of Memorial Day. Make sure to come out and support this event and bring a blanket and chair as seating will be unavailable.

Memorial Day service at Beaver

A Memorial Day Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, May 30 at Beaver Cemetery.
