Local women are 'Working together for Ogden'

The Ogden Community Women (OCW) were able to proudly present five $500 scholarships during the senior awards night this month.

Five seniors, McKayla Dozier, Allea Klauenberg, Kaylee Lingren, Lindsey Snakenberg, and Carter Stonehocker were presented the scholarships during awards night on May 15.

To be selected for the scholarship, students were required to fill out an application to be submitted and write about an event in their lives that has impacted them. The question was left to the student’s interpretation of what they considered impactful. Final recipients were selected based on a variety of criteria, such as their attention to detail, their essays on impact, and their level of need as described by the students.

“We are just so happy we were able to make this possible,” said Robin Good, President of OCW. “None of this would have been possible without the support of the community.”
