Marching band - competitions and performances

This year the OHS Marching Bulldogs performed a selection of music by Queen: “Don’t Stop Me Now,” “Under Pressure” and “Bohemiam Rhapsody.” Their season opened Friday, Aug. 25 for the first of four home football games. They took part in the OHS Homecoming parade September 29, then competed the following day at the Urbandale Marching Invitational where they took fifth place in Class 2A. Allea Klauenberg brought home the best marcher award that day. At the IHSMA State Marching Band Festival Saturday, Oct. 7, the OHS band earned a top Division I rating. They are under the direction of Jeremy Britton.
