Moorman’s late free throw lifts Bulldogs 54-53

A late free throw by Kolby Moorman lifted the Ogden boys’ basketball team to a 54-53 victory over Panorama during West Central Conference action here Friday.

Moorman grabbed an offensive rebound, was fouled and made 1-of-2 free throws to break the 53-all tie with eight seconds to go. The Panthers (5-2, 4-2) long three-point attempt at the buzzer missed as the Bulldogs celebrated a come-from-behind win.

Ogden (5-4, 3-3) trailed at all three-quarter breaks, including 15-4 after one. The hosts battled back to within 28-24 at halftime and then 42-40 through three.

“Was really proud how our team responded after a slow first period. Our kids had that look in their eyes and it showed on the court offensively and defensively,” said Ogden coach Scott Church.
