New sod and other changes at the baseball field

With the improvements to the Ogden High School baseball field, the sports facilities here should be in good shape for years to come. Recent upgrades were the new softball complex at the high school and new lighting at the football field. Ogden also invested in an all-weather track which enables them to host track meets. Now that the baseball season is over workers have begun renovations on the field. The warning track, infield, dugouts and back stop will be replaced. According to OHS baseball Coach Dick Smith, the whole field will have a proper drainage system and irrigation system installed. New sod will be laid on the infield and foul territory. The home dugout structure will include a press box and storage shed. -Ogden Reporter photo
