Ogden baseball ends week 5-8; are 4-3 in conference play

The Bulldogs pounded out 10 hits in a 12-0 win over west Central Valley Monday, June 5 in a home game. Ogden blew the game open early as they tallied 7 runs in the first aided by Jaden Bell’s three run homer. Jacob Craven and Jade Thompson combined for a 5 hit shut-out. 

In the home half of the first, Thompson led off with a single. Craven’s sacrifice bunt advanced Thompson to second. Kruse doubled, scoring Thompson for a 1-0 lead. After Carter Church flied out to right field. Chad Mohr and Austin Flynn reached base with free passes. Taylon Engleen’s single to left scored Kruse and Mohr for a 3-0 lead. Kennedy followed with a single to center to score Flynn and Bell followed with a homer to center to score Engleen and Nathan Kennedy ahead of him. The Bulldogs added three more tallies in the third and two in the fourth for the final 12-0 score.

Ogden was led by Engleen with three hits including a double with Kruse also adding a double. Bell had a homerun.   

Van Meter 11 - Ogden 1

Van Meter’s Mitch Pomeroy held the Bulldogs to two hits in an 11-1 loss last Tuesday.  Van Meter pounded out 11 hits including 5 doubles.
