Ogden basketball teams defeat West Central Valley

Ogden boys basketball had three players in double figures as they coasted to a 56-43 win over the West Central Valley Wildcats Friday, Jan. 29 Ogden shot the ball poorly in the first quarter falling behind 10-6 after the first frame. The Bulldogs then came out in the second frame and out-scored the Cats 20-8 to take a 26-18 halftime lead.

Ogden was led by Tews with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Bryce Snedden followed with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Jade Thompson had 12 points off of 4 three pointers and dished out three assists.

 

Ogden was held to 4 first quarter points in a 70-45 loss to Van Meter in a make-up game Thursday. Thompson and Bryce Snedden had 12 and 10 points respectively.

 

Girls win 44-38

 

The Lady Bulldogs had a big second and third frame in a come-from-behind win Friday, Jan. 29. Ogden defeated West Central Valley 44-38. 

“After struggling in the first quarter defensively we really started clicking and played great defense the rest of the way,” commented Coach Nate Tobey. “We didn’t shoot the ball great from the outside against their zone, but our posts were tremendous inside for us. Kylie Nichols had a career high 15 points. It was a huge win for us to maintain our standing in the conference, now we will look to move up."
