Ogden basketball teams defeat Woodward-Granger

Boys defeat the Hawks 69-42

Conner Paulsen’s energy Tuesday night ignited the Bulldog defense as Ogden cruised to a 69-42 win over the Woodward-Granger Hawks.

“We got behind in the 1st quarter because  they made shots but once we got settled into what we wanted to do it was just playing the game hard,” said Coach Dave Morris. The  Bulldogs battled in the first quarter with some timely shooting to hang on to a 14-13 lead.

Paulsen came out hustling in the second quarter and created early turnovers. Ogden began to play with fire in their eyes and the belly button defense held the Hawks to 5 points in that quarter.

Girls win 50-36

With the Bulldogs already up 13-9 they finished the half with a 14-6 run to take a 27-15 lead at the break.
