Ogden boys edge Van Meter; Wheelock is medalist for the girls

The boys and girls golf teams had a strong week with a big tournament and a successful triangular.

At the start of the week the boys and girls traveled to Cedar Pointe in Boone to play a triangular against Van Meter and Adair-Casey and Guthrie Center. Both Ogden teams came away victorious and claimed medalists.

For the boys’ team, they ended up one stroke ahead of Van Meter. Ogden ended up with 186, Van Meter had 187, and ACGC had 289. Ogden needed to be on their top game with Van Meter breathing down their neck. Ogden managed that, with tremendous scores from many golfers.

Jacob Hildreth led the way with a low of 44, the second best of the day. Three other Ogden golfers ended up under 50. Seth Bishop and Jade Thompson ended up at 47.
