Ogden girls drop season opener

An opening night loss was suffered by the Ogden girls’ basketball team, falling 56-48 to Southeast Valley here Monday (Nov. 25).

The host Bulldogs dug an early hole as Southeast Valley built leads of 19-9 after one quarter and 34-21 at the break. Ogden attempted a comeback, taking the final 16-minutes 27-22.

Ogden’s Gabby Ross scored a game-high 23 points, hitting 9-of-13 field goals and five free throws. Meredith Adreon added 13 points and made the team’s two three-point goals.
