Ogden golf showcases steady improvement and excellent sportsmanship during a busy week

Both the boys’ and girls’ varsity teams played at the Lake Panorama Golf Course against Panorama and AC/GC on Monday, April 8. Despite very windy conditions, Ryan Nichols was able to shoot a bogey for his round, ending up with an individual score of 45. Overall, the boys’ team shot a 193.

Faith Mohr led the way for the girls’ team, shooting an individual 61 and helping to achieve a team score of 262. Mohr was followed closely by Shaylie Johannsen, who achieved an overall score of 62.

On Tuesday, April 9, the boys’ team played for their make-up meet against Boone at Don Williams after having to be rescheduled from 4/4 due to weather. This time, the weather held out for overall good conditions.

The girls’ varsity team was busy at the Ames Country Club playing against both Gilbert and Van Meter, where they showcased a steady improvement in their scores. While the weather was overcast with bouts of rain, the wind held steady and averaged about 15-20 mph.
