Ogden High School announces 2018 Homecoming candidates

The 2018 OHS Homecoming candidates were announced at an assembly Friday afternoon, Sept. 21. 

Coronation will take place Friday, Sept. 28 at a pep assembly following the parade. (See full page ad on page two.) This year’s candidates are:

Maggie Albrecht

Maggie is the daughter of Jenny Albrecht and Monty Albrecht. At OHS she is involved in  cheerleading is a basketball manager, a member of the Student Council and is a Senior Leader.  Maggie also is a member Bulldog Builders. Her plans are to attend the University of Northern Iowa majoring in supply chain management.

Sammy Andersen

Sammy is the daughter of Danielle Andersen-Jeppesen and Jaysen Jeppesen. She participates in cross country and track. Going to Iowa State University for pre-med is her future goal.

Dane Christner

Dane is the son of Bob Christner and Angela Christner. He has participated in football, basketball, and track at Ogden High School and is a Senior Leader. Zane plans on attending Iowa State University for athletic training.

Carter Church

Carter is the son of Gina Church and Scott Church. His high school activities include baseball, football, basketball and Senior Leader. Carter’s plans are to attend a four-year college and play football.

 

Lucas Elsner

Lucas is the son of Chris and Denise Elsner. He participates in football, track, baseball, and band and is a Senior Leader at Ogden High School. He says his future plans are to play football in college, walk across the country and travel to Iceland.

Jake Kathman

Jake is the son of Nikki Kathman. At OHS he has participated in football, wrestling, golf, baseball, and is a senior leader. He hopes to continue playing football in college while majoring in criminal justice. His plans are to then join the military.

Charlie Lake

Charlie is the son of Dan and Annie Lake. His list of school activities include football, basketball, track, baseball, Student Council, band, chorus and Senior Leader. He plans on attending Iowa State University after graduation.

Abby Langel

Abby is the daughter of Nick Langel and Mary Langel. As a student at OHS she is active in basketball, volleyball, band and is a Senior Leader. She is also a member of St. John’s Catholic Church youth group. She plans on studying radiology at a two-year school.

Abbigail Lentz

Abbigail is the daughter of Janae and Nick Lentz. She is a football cheerleader, is a Senior Leader and a member of the student government. She participates in basketball and track. She plans on attending Iowa State University this fall.

Aidan Skalicky

Aidan is the daughter of Laura and Jason Skalicky. Her activities at OHS include cross country, track, choir, musicals/plays, Student Council and Senior Leader. She will be attending Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids. Although she is unsure of her major, her interests like in biology, chemistry, music and art.
