Ogden Police Report - April 14-20, 2014

 

Monday,  April 14

10:42 a.m.: Officer responded to an incomplete 911 at 413 W. Sycamore St. This was determined to be a phone issue.

Tuesday, April 15

9:16 a.m.: Officer assisted Boone County Deputy in the 300 block of 220th St. with a vehicle that had lost a rear wheel.

3:33 p.m.: Officer assisted stranded motorist.

8:20 p.m.: Officer was asked to look for a possible intoxicated driver westbound on 216th from Boone.  The officer located the vehicle and the driver was not intoxicated but was having difficulty with an item in the bed of the truck that was almost ready to fall. The officer assisted in securing the load.

Wednesday, April 16

8:00 a.m.: Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of N. 1st St.

12:43 p.m.: Officer assisted Boone PD in locating a subject.

12:49 p.m.: Officer received a report of a vehicle speeding on 220th St. Officer was unable to locate vehicle.

2:25 p.m.: Officer received a report of a loose dog in the 300 block of E. Walnut St.

4:27 p.m.: Officer assisted a stranded motorist.

Thursday, April 17

8:00 a.m.: Officer received a report of a loose dog in the 400 block of N. 1st. Owner retrieved the dog.

9:12 a.m.: Officer responded to 425 N. 1st St. for an incomplete 911. It was determined to be phone line problems.

1:15 p.m.: Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of S.W. 5th St.

1:36 p.m.: Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of S.W. 7th St.

3:32 p.m.: Officer received a complaint in reference to possible child abuse. Investigation is continuing. 

8:30 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of a strong chemical smell in the 600 block of N.W. 7th St. The smell went away in about 5-6 minutes and officer was unable to locate the source.

11:50 p.m.: Officer assisted Boone County deputies with a report of burglary in progress in the 900 block of J Ave. They were unable to locate the suspects.

Friday, April 18

12:19 p.m.: Officer noticed an open door on a vacant home. The officer notified the realtor and they advised they would come over and secure.

6:38 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of a vehicle that was legally parked but was keeping a farm implement from being driven down the road in the 400 block of E. Division St. The officer was able to move the vehicle.

9:00 p.m.: Officer responded to a reported domestic situation at 419 S.E. 2nd #7.  This was a verbal argument only and no charges were filed.  The male half left the residence for the evening.

Saturday, April 19

10:15 a.m.: Officer assisted Boone County Deputy, Ogden Fire, Ogden First Responders, and Boone County Ambulance with a single-vehicle rollover in the 900 block of 208th St.

3:05 p.m.: Officer was asked to check the welfare of an Ogden resident. The subject was fine.

5:35 p.m.: Officer assisted Boone County Deputy by checking on suspicious activity at the beach at Don Williams Lake. The officer was unable to locate any problems.

8:35 p.m.: Officer was asked to check on the welfare of an Ogden resident. The subject was fine.

10:40 p.m.: Officer responded to a 911 call from an elderly resident.  The officer notified a family member to come and stay with the subject.

Sunday, April 20

6:58 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of vehicle driving fast in the 400 block of N.E. 3rd St. The officer located the vehicle in question and spoke with the driver about his driving.

9:52 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of motorcycles driving in excess of 90 mph between E. Division St. and Walnut St. on S.E. 4th St.

These charges are merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
