Ogden Police Report - July 14-20, 2014

 

Monday, July 14

9:50 a.m.: Officer received a report of a black lab puppy dragging a cable that was caught in the 300 block of W. Veterans Dr. The reporting party advised they would hold on to the dog until owner claimed.

10:30 a.m.: Bonna K. Church stopped by police department to report her black lab puppy had pulled its cable and gotten away.  I advised her where she could find the dog.

Tuesday, July 15

9:20 a.m.: Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County ambulance at 620 W. Walnut #1.

9:05 p.m.: Officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Catholic Church parking lot with subject sleeping in. The vehicle/subject were gone upon officer’s arrival.

Wednesday, July 16

12:55 p.m.: Officer spoke with Ogden resident about dumping sump hose into sanitary sewer.  Officer advised subject to stop this practice.

7:06 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of male subject going door-to-door selling satellite television subscriptions. The complainant said that the subject was asking for social security numbers. The officer advised that people should not give out their social security numbers to solicitors.

8:30 p.m.: Officer stood-by while subject picked up an item from residence.

11:20 p.m.: Officer arrested Bryant Reeves, 24, of Ogden on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference.  

Thursday, July 17

10:40 a.m.: Officer returned phone call to Ogden resident regarding a civil issue.

2:35 p.m.: Officer was asked to check on a vehicle that was reportedly having trouble maintaining lane.  The officer located the vehicle and the driver was fine.

3:10 p.m.: Officer received a complaint in reference to a door-to-door salesman. The officer spoke with the complainant and the salesman and there was a misunderstanding as to what the salesman was promoting.

6:10 p.m.: Officer assisted Boone County Deputy with traffic stop in the 1100 block of J Ave.

Friday, July 18

12:35 p.m.: Officer received a report of possible animal neglect at 213 NE 2nd. There was nobody home, but officer observed dog was unable to reach water dish. Officer moved dish closer to dog and will stop back and talk with owner later.

3:04 p.m.: Officer assisted Ogden First Responders and Boone County Ambulance at 492 200th St.

Saturday, July 19

1:36 p.m.: Officer received a report of a black/white Rat Terrier running loose in the 500 block of N 1st St. The officer picked up the dog and was able to locate the owner a short time later.

1:45 p.m.: Officer assisted stranded motorists.

8:20 p.m.: Officer received a report that a dog running loose had been caught at 307 SE 4th St. The dog was returned to owner.

9:57 p.m.: Officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of the city park. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

10:19 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of barking dogs at 413 NE 3rd St. Officer was able to locate a phone number for owner of dogs and she would be home to put them inside.

Sunday, July 20

8:50 p.m.: Officer received another complaint of a barking dog at 213 NE 3rd St. The officer was able to make contact with person watching the dog and advised the dog needs to be kept inside.

9:18 p.m.: A Casey’s employee reported a transient was sleeping behind the store. The officer gave subject a ride to gas station at Highway 141 and Highway 169.
