Ogden Police Report - Nov. 18 - Nov. 24, 2013

 

Monday, November 18

5:47 a.m.: Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

8:27 a.m.: Officer received a complaint from an Ogden business of a female subject sleeping inside the business.  The officer spoke with the subject and asked if she needed assistance and she stated no and left the premises.

10:10 p.m.: Officer responded to an incomplete 911 call. This was determined to be a problem with the phone.

Tuesday, November 19

6:30 p.m.: Officer talked with cub scout group.

8:37 p.m.: Officer assisted a probation officer with a home check at 519 N.W. 7th St. Lot #6.

Wednesday, November 20

8:40 a.m.: Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

1:45 p.m.: Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

3:00 p.m.: Officer picked up a Beagle dog that was running loose and returned to owner.

3:08 p.m.: Officer picked up a Cocker Spaniel dog that was running loose and took to the city kennel until the owner could come and pick up.

5:24 p.m.: Officer responded to an intrusion alarm at an Ogden business. This was determined to be a false alarm.

8:11 p.m.: Officer responded to an incomplete 911 call from the pay phone in the 200 block of W. Walnut St. There was nobody in the area upon officer’s arrival.

Thursday, November 21

11:23 a.m.: Officer assisted subject locked out of vehicle.

12:33 p.m.: Officer investigated a reported sexual assault. This is under investigation.

2:20 p.m.: Officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 100 block of W. Walnut St. There was no state report filed as it was less than $1,500 in damages.

3:57 p.m.: Officer investigated a two-vehicle accident in the Ogden High School parking lot. There was no state report as it was less than $1,500 in damages.

Friday, November 22

11:35 a.m.: Officer provided a funeral escort with help from an Ogden Municipal Utility employee from the Community United Methodist Church east to First St. and then north to Pilot Mound Cemetery.

4:00 p.m.: Officers spoke with a cub scout group.

5:55 p.m.: Officer assisted Ogden First Responders with a lift assist at 113 S 1st St.

Saturday, November 23

7:05 a.m.: Officer assisted a subject with a lost item at 113 S. 1st St.

10:09 a.m.: Officer responded to an incomplete 911 at 752 H. Ave. It was determined to be phone problems.

1:55 p.m.: Officer assisted Ogden First Responders at 249 S. 1st St.

2:45 p.m.: Officer responded to a car vs. deer accident in the 1100 block of 216th St. Vehicle was gone upon officers arrival.

2:47 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of a loose dog in the 600 block of W. Maple St. Officer was unable to locate the dog.

5:05 p.m.: Officer received a complaint of a stranded motorist in the 100 block of W. Walnut St.

11:00 p.m.: Officer received a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the 400 block of Highway 30. Officer was unable to locate a vehicle.

Sunday, November 24

9:46 a.m.: Officer received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 30.Officer located the vehicle and the driver was just tired.

10:26 a.m.: Officer received a complaint reference a parking issue in the 500 block of E. Oak St.

2:36 p.m.: Officer investigated possible trespassing at 220 S.W. 7th St.

3:51 p.m.: Officer responded to a carbon monoxide detector going off at 219 W. Maple St.

7:57 p.m.: Officer investigated a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver at Casey’s General Store. The driver checked out okay.

These charges are merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

PSA: Ogden residents are reminded to clear their sidewalks of snow within 48 hours after the snow has stopped falling.
