Ogden wrestling team picks up wins over Nevada and Clarinda Academy; falls to West Central Valley and South Hamilton

The Ogden wrestling team competed at a triangular on Thursday, Jan. 10, at West Central Valley. Ogden picked up two wins, one against Coon Rapids Bayard, 36-30 and the other against Clarinda Academy, 54-0. Ogden had a tough time with West Central Valley, posting a 50-27 loss.

Ogden came out on top of a close battle with Coon Rapids Bayard. At 138-pounds, Avery McCloud pinned Carson Hilgenberg in 2:56. Jacob Kathman also recorded a pin in :36 at 152-pounds against Rex Doty.

There was a forfeit at every weight against Clarinda Academy. Picking up pins against West Central Valley was Kathman and Dominic Degeneffe. Kathman pinned Louden Foster at 152-pounds in :27. Degeneffe, who wrestles at 106-pounds, pinned Dylan Wells in :46. Bryant Dutcher, at 285-pounds, won by a 3-1 decision against Rush Rowan.
