ogdeniowa.org - Check it out!

In this day and age, having an online presence is crucial. What is the first thing someone does when seeking information about a topic? They reach for their smart phone and “Google it.” A wealth of information is instantly available at our fingertips.

Ogden is taking advantage of technology to promote its community. We in Ogden know what great things the community has to offer but what about others? Now that the city’s colorful new website has gone live, community members can keep up on local events while those considering a visit or move to the area can check us out online.

Ogden City Administrator Jane Zahasky said establishing the city website was a joint effort between The City and Ogden Legacy.

According to Legacy president Craig Christensen, the organization had been working toward developing a website, but was having a hard time getting it off the ground.

When Christensen received a call from Ogden’s new city administrator of their willingness to help, the project moved forward. Legacy committed $5,000 to develop a site then put together a team to help create and find a designer.

“Improving the community is Legacy’s main focus and we understand the importance of being connected through social media,” says Christensen. “The website is a great way to promote Ogden and help local businesses and groups let the community know what they are doing.”
