OHS students to offer special menu at The Lucky Pig

Continuing what will now be a three-year tradition, students in the Ogden High School Hospi-tality and Tourism Management Program will host a restaurant take-over at The Lucky Pig in Ogden on Monday, Feb. 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The public is invited to enjoy a feast of special menu items including salmon and ribeye steak.

Students will serve as hosts, welcoming guests as they walk in. They’ll take or-ders, serve as wait staff, buss tables, and even wash dish-es.

Hospitality and Tourism Management Instructor Doralene Abdel-Halim believes the evening will provide inval-uable experience for her stu-dents.

For many of the students—mostly freshmen and sopho-mores—the restaurant takeover will be their first time in a work environment. The experience empowers and prepares them for applying for their first jobs.
