Quilts of Valor display and presentation

Several Boone County War-Time Veterans/Service Members will be honored and presented with Quilts of Valor during Ogden Fun Days 2019. The ceremony will take place after the parade on Saturday, June 29 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Ogden City Park in front of the Band Shell. In the event of rain, we will relocate to Zion Lutheran Church, 319 West Elm Street. The Ogden Quilts of Valor Piecemakers volunteers encourage everyone to attend and help honor those who sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Since 2017, we have awarded 89 Quilts of Valor to Ogden area Veterans and Service Members: World War II-11, Korean War-19, Vietnam War-41, Current Conflicts-18. This year we will continue to honor those who have served by presenting over 60 quilts to Boone County Veterans and Service Members from the World War II Era to present day.

The Quilts of Valor will be on display at Zion Lutheran Church Friday, June 28, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome to view the quilts during that time.
