Richard A. Johnson

Born in Menomonie, WI. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Mabel; brother, Jerry; brother-in-law, Bob; and first wife, Dorla Bemis. Survived by wife, Nan Brenholdt; siblings, Edith Hinn, Bob (Marilyn); in-laws, Jim (Jeanette) Brenholdt and Bruce (Teresa) Brenholdt; and many cherished nieces and nephews, beloved relatives, and close friends.
Educated at the Dunn County Agricultural School and served in the United States Air Force where he worked on the B-36 and B-52. He was an active member of Immanuel and Mt. Olivet Lutheran churches. Employed by Minneapolis Moline and the TORO Company in the test departments. His interests were wide and varied including cars, trains, tractors, woodworking, music, plays, history, and travel. He was a devoted Pontiac and 2-cylinder tractor fan. Richard’s friends from far and wide of all ages never seemed to forget his warmth and wisdom and sought his company whenever possible. He loved solving problems and looked forward to every day.
Loved by all who knew him for his immeasurable kindness, generosity, and integrity. Died of COVID19 on December 13, 2020. Memorials preferred to Mt. Olivet, Minneapolis, MN and Immanuel Lutheran, Ogden, IA.
